The Bombay High Court will hear Aryan Khan's bail application today who was arrested in connection with the seizure of banned drugs on board a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. Former Attorney General for India Mukul Rohatgi will represent the 23-year-old son of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan whose bail has been denied twice.

The matter is slated for hearing today before Justice Nitin Sambre.

After the special court rejected his plea on October 20, his legal team led by Satish Maneshinde moved the high court, which agreed to hear the case on October 26.

Meanwhile, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) will oppose the bail of all accused in the case, including Aryan Khan, in the high court.

The plea comes up as Sameer Wankhede, the Narcotics Control of Bureau officer leading the investigation, has been hit with a Rs 8 crore payoff claim by a witness in the case.

The anti-drugs agency has backed the officer, citing an "impeccable service record". Regarding the payoff claim - by Prabhakar Sail, a witness in the case - the NCB said Mr Sail had turned 'hostile'.

Coming back to Aryan Khan, the Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son has been in custody for more than three weeks now. His bail application in the Mumbai cruise drugs case has been rejected by both the magistrate court and the special NDPS court.

As per the latest information, Aryan Khan's bail plea has been listed at serial number 57 in the Bombay High Court. Meanwhile, the bail plea of co-accused Arbaaz Merchant has been listed at serial number 64.

He was placed under arrest on October 3 and charged with offences under Section 8(c), 20(b), 27, 28, 29 and 35 under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

It remains to be seen whether Aryan Khan will finally walk out of jail or not.
