Mohanlal has announced his upcoming big budget project ‘Odiyan’ via his Facebook page, claiming it will be a visual treat.

The veteran actor also revealed that Manju Warrier would play the female lead in the film, produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.

'Odiyan' tells the story of a man who has mastered 'odividya', a black magic trick. Several reports say Prakash Raj will play the film's primary antagonist, while a Bollywood star is also expected to be roped in.

'Odiyan', which marks the directorial debut of renowned ad filmmaker Shrikumar, will reportedly be the most expensive Malayalam film to go into production. Written by National Award winner Harikrishnan, 'Odiyan' will see 'Pulimurugan' fame Shaji Kumar handling the cinematography.

It is also the latest big budget film in the pipeline for Mohanlal, who had earlier announced 'Villain', directed by B Unnikrishnan and 'Lucifer', by Prithviraj.

Mohanlal, who has enjoyed back-to-back hits through ‘Oppam’, ‘Pulimurugan’ and ‘Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol’, is currently all set for the release of Major Ravi's '1971: Beyond Borders'.
