During the annual general body meeting of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) held in Kochi, Jayasurya was honoured with an award for winning a special jury mention at the 63rd National Film Awards.

Jayasurya, who won the national honour for his performance in 'Su... Su... Sudhi Vathmeekam', was felicitated at the event. The actor even posted pictures of the event on his social networking page with the message, "Blessed by my idols."
Fans had expected that Jayasurya would walk away with the Best Actor trophy at the Kerala State Film Awards, even though he couldn't grab the National Best Actor Award as Amitabh Bachchan beat him to it. The jury then decided to appreciate Jayasurya's performance with a special mention.
The actor has three upcoming releases: the comic caper 'Shajahanum Pareekuttyum', action-thriller 'IDI' and horror-comedy 'Pretham'.
