The father-son duo is back in their hometown Thiruvananthapuram along with the family, for the official launches of Pranav's debut project and pooja of Mohanlal's Odiyan. Vismaya, the daughter of Mohanlal and Suchitra is been seen after a very long time Mohanlal and family are extremely excited about Pranav's debut.

The movies are produced by Antony Perumbavoor. While Odiyan will be the directorial debut of ad-filmmaker VA Shrikumar Menon, Pranav film will be directed by Jeethu Joseph. 26-year-old Pranav made his acting debut as a child artist in 2002 movie Onnaman. He won the Best Child Artist Kerala State Film Award for the portrayal of Appu in the film Punarjani.

Odiyan, which revolves around the concept of magical realism and will feature Manju Warrier in the female lead and Prakash Raj as the main antagonist. The debut project of Pranav Mohanlal, which is written and directed by Jeethu Joseph, is said to be an out-and-out action thriller.
