FollowBigg Boss ex-contestant and Bollywood actress Mandana Karimi married Mumbai-based businessman Gaurav Gupta in January 2017 and claims she was thrown out of her 'matrimonial house' a few weeks ago.
According to Mid-day, Mandana has filed a case of domestic violence against her husband, Gaurav Gupta. The news of this case comes a day after she reportedly filed for divorce from her husband. She filed a case of domestic violence against her husband at the Andheri Magistrate Court on Monday, July 3, Mid-Day reported.
In her petition, the Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3 actress has claimed Rs. 10 lakh as monthly maintenance in addition to a compensation of Rs. 2 crores "for the trauma and agony caused, and loss of career and business," reports mid-day.
The couple has been married for five months. She also alleged that she was not allowed to enter her house and that she was harassed by her mother-in-law. According to Bollywoodlife.com, Mandana accused Gupta of asking her to convert to Hinduism ahead of their wedding and also forcing her to quit her acting career claiming that it is demeaning to the family's status in society.
As quoted by Mid-Day, the Iranian beauty also said, "I was thrown out of my matrimonial house seven weeks ago. I made desperate attempts to reconcile with them, but my in-laws didn't allow me back. Gaurav has cut me off."
Mandana had met Gupta through a common friend during her modelling days. Later, Mandana married Gaurav Gupta on January 26 after dating for almost two years. The couple opted for a court wedding, which was followed by a wedding as per the Hindu rituals on March 5. Many Bollywood celebs attended their wedding.
