The couple met and fell in love with each other when Jyothi was working at Dubai FM after taking a break from films. The actress was noted for her roles in Life of Josutty and Pathiramanal. Other films include Njaan, God for Sale, and Last Bench.
According to reports, the due used to chat through Skype; it was after one year they decided to be in a relationship. Their engagement was conducted on May 26.
