Latest updates: Sridevi's body leaves for the airport

Actor Sridevi's body has been handed over to her family and government officials in Dubai said on Tuesday evening that investigation into her death has been closed.

Sridevi, who was in Dubai to attend a family wedding, died in a hotel room on Saturday. A forensic report said she "accidentally drowned" in a bathtub after losing consciousness. 

The superstar's body has been embalmed and is being taken to the airport from where it will be flown back today to Mumbai where last rites will take place in Mumbai on Wednesday at Pawan Hans in the city.

Boney Kapoor’s son Arjun Kapoor has joined his father and uncle Sanjay Kapoor in Dubai and will oversee the return to India.
