Numbers game: Where Kavya Madhavan pips Manju Warrier

Social media platforms often show a public figure's popularity among the masses. Though they are not always the ideal yardstick to measure popularity, the number of Facebook likes and Twitter followers do give an indication of the same. 

And that's where Kavya Madhavan has pipped fellow actress Manju Warrier. Kavya's official Facebook page has 36.9 lakh likes, compared to the 31.1 lakh likes on Manju's page.

Manju has been active on all social media platforms ever since her return to the industry. The veteran actress announces her new films and often gives updates regarding her philanthropic work and other activities through her Facebook page.

Kavya, on the other hand, has kept a relatively low profile on social media. However, she has been back in the news since her marriage to Dileep late last year.

Meanwhile, among the young actresses in Malayalam, Miya George leads the line. The Pala native, who is also active in Tamil and Telugu industries, has 94.64 lakh likes on her page. Nazriya Nazim follows suit with 76.5 lakh likes, despite being away from the limelight since her marriage to Fahadh Faasil over two years ago.

Parvathy, Sai Pallavi, Namitha Pramod, Anupama Parameswaran and Prayaga Martin are the other young actresses who enjoy good fan following on Facebook.
