The Oscars telecast was two hours in and President Trump hadn't tweeted anything about the show. Jimmy Kimmel was surprised.
So he first tweeted asked the President: "U up?" and then quickly tweeted him a second time writing #Merylsayshi".
During the event, the host told the audience,"We're more than two hours into the show and Donald Trump hasn't tweeted at us once and I'm starting to get worried about him."

So he started tweeting Donald Trump, and within five minutes, the first tweet had more than 100,000 retweets. A few moments later, it became Kimmel's most-retweeted tweet.
According to the @TwitterData account, this tweet became Kimmel’s most retweeted tweet ever in under 15 minutes. At the time of publishing, the tweet has been retweeted over 208,000 times.
Despite its success, it has a long way to match the 3.2 million retweets Ellen DeGeneres’ 2014 Oscar selfie got.
