Jayarajs Veeram To Be Screened At BRICS Film Festival

The festival will screen movies from China Brazil, Russia and South Africa besides India. 

 

Veeram is a historical drama, which stars Kunal Kapoor in the lead role of a warrior called Chandu, a character which is based on Kerala folklore. Kunal also learned Kalari Payattu for the adequate portrayal of the character. The movie is based on William Shakespeare's play Macbeth. Veeram, which has been made under an enormous budget has many big names in the technical department.

The first poster of the movie was unveiled by Venkaiah Naidu, Minister of Information and Broadcasting. Veeram, which has been simultaneously made in Malayalam, Hindi and English. 

 

Jayaraj's Ottaal did win wide appreciations at several international film festivals, and it also won the best movie award at IFFK 2015. 

 

Veeram is the fifth instalment of Jayaraj in the Navarasa series. He has earlier made films with the title Shantham, Karunam, Bheebatsam, Athbhutham.
