Today, Janata Curfew completes its first anniversary after Covid-19 hit nationwide. Here's how our favourite Bollywood stars supported the Covid Heroes by cheering for them.

A year back, when Covid-19 cases were rising in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for 14 hours straight Janata Curfew. And on that day, Bollywood celebrities and ordinary people went up to their terrace or balcony to support the Covid Heroes, including Police, Doctors, civic workers, etc. They clapped and cheered by playing utensils for letting them know their gratitude.

The social media platforms were filled with their pictures and videos. Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan stepped together to pay their tribute. Akshay posted on Twitter with a caption, "5mins at 5pm: With my neighbours, taking a moment to appreciate those who do not have this luxury of staying at home & working tirelessly to keep us safe. Thank you to all the essential service providers for your selfless work?? #JanataCurfew #BreakCorona."

Shah Rukh Khan took to his Twitter account to share his tribute to the Covid workers and say 'Thank you'. He wrote, "InshaAllah #JantaCurfew will help against the spread of virus, though we may have to do this again. The clapping brought so much cheer. So a reminder of safeguards, with some cheer... Pls take it in the right spirit. To all relentlessly working today - Extremely Grateful. Thx!"
