IPL 2023: Anushka Sharma's opposing emotions on Virat Kohli's dismissal and MS Dhoni's arrival (WATCH)
IPL 2023: Royal Challengers Bangalore did not have a winning night against Chennai Super Kings in Bengaluru on Monday. Meanwhile, Anushka Sharam presented opposing emotions on Virat Kohli's dismissal and MS Dhoni's arrival.
It was a tough night out for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Match 24 of the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) against former four-time champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK), as the former suffered a narrow eight-run beating at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Monday. Notably, RCB opener Virat Kohli failed to perform, getting dismissed for a mere five.
In attendance at the Chinnaswamy was Kohli's Bollywood wive, Anushka Sharma, who has been a regular for all RCB home matches. While she was in a delightful mood in the past couple of RCB home matches, with Kohli being on fire and scoring consistent half-centuries, she was glum on Monday, which was visible by her expression after the cameras panned on her immediately after the opener's premature dismissal.

However, on the contrary, Anushka presented an amusing version of herself during the preceding CSK innings when the legendary visiting skipper MS Dhoni walked out to bat. As Dhoni walked out, the Chinnaswamy crowd screamed the name out loud of the former ICC World Cup-winning Indian skipper, while as cameras panned upon Anushka, she was seen smiling at the atmosphere at the venue and was seen saying, "They love him."
As for the game, set an imposing target of 227, RCB looked on course until the departure of Glenn Maxwell (76 off 36 balls) and skipper Faf du Plessis (62 off 33) in quick succession. The duo added 126 runs for the third wicket to raise hopes of an RCB victory.
Earlier, CSK scored 226/6 after being asked to bat first. Opener Devon Conway struck 83 off 45 deliveries and was involved in a 74-run partnership for the second wicket with Ajinkya Rahane (37 off 20 balls). Later, Conway added 80 runs for the third wicket with Shivam Dube, who blazed away to a 27-ball 52 with the help of five sixes and two fours.
