Here's some good news for Kavya Madhavan and Dileep

  • Kavya Madhavan has managed to find a spot in the list of nominees for the Best Actor (Female) award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2017.
  • Kavya will be competing against Bollywood actresses for the award, like Alia Bhatt (for Dear Zindagi) and Vidya Balan (for Kahaani 2).
Heres good news for Kavya Madhavan and Dileep

Kavya Madhavan, who has been grabbing the headlines for all the wrong reasons from last week,  has good news to share with her fans.

The Anchu Sundharikal actress has managed to find a spot in the list of nominees for the Best Actor (Female) award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2017. Kavya was nominated for her performance in Pinneyum, directed by Adoor Gopalakrishnan. The movie also features her star husband, Dileep.

The movie is about an unemployed man (Dileep) who is dependent on his wife's (Kavya) earnings and who finally finds a job in the Middle-East. But desire takes over, and he does something which changes their lives forever.

However, Kavya will be competing against Bollywood actresses for the award, like Alia Bhatt (for Dear Zindagi) and Vidya Balan (for Kahaani 2). Also, others like Tannishtha Chatterjee, Ratna Pathak Shah and Konkona Sen Sharma. Well, it's tough competition for Kavya.
