Recently, Sridevi revealed why she did not speak to her husband for three months while she was shooting for MOM. The movie is directed by Ravi Udyawar and produced by Boney Kapoor and Sunil Manchanda. With
this movie, Boney decided to make his wife’s 50 years in the entertainment industry special by gifting her this film. Mom is her 300th film, but actress Sridevi still feels like a newcomer in the film industry.
The actress kept her rapport with Boney strictly professional she also literally stopped talking to her husband for three months. The English Vinglish actress said, “For three months, I did not speak to Boney Ji as a husband. I used to greet him good morning and after pack up, I used to wish him goodnight- that’s all we spoke. That was the only conversation I had with him. Well, I am totally a director’s actor. I surrender totally to Ravi Udyawar. I followed his vision and he did a wonderful job"
The actress and her husband, however, made a joint appearance as a family along with their two daughters Khushi and Jhanvi Kapoor at the trailer launch of the movie. In the event, she also said, "I am working with lot of people for the first time like Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna. Nawazuddin is a gifted actor, it is wonderful to see him on-screen. I am a huge admirer of his work and have a lot of respect for him and Akshaye Khanna is a powerful performer." Sridevi said script is still her priority while signing a film and the gripping plot of "Mom" was the reason for her to say yes to the project.
The intriguing trailer of Mom revolves around the story of a mother, Devki (Sridevi) and her teenage daughter Arya. The film also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna. Mom is set to release on July 7. The music for this film is composed by Mozart of Madras AR Rahman.
