Filmmakers in Bollywood are no doubt creative and are known for using code words in their work. But this code word approach led to an actress almost being trapped in the casting couch because she didn’t understand the meaning of “dinner post 11 pm.”

In an interview, the actress revealed that, back when she first approached few top filmmakers with her portfolio, filmmakers would glance at her and ask if she could meet them for dinner post 11pm.

"For them, dinner means compromise. So, when this happened like four to five times, then I realised, ‘So, that is what dinner stands for!’ Dinner means, ‘Come to me, baby," said Sherlyn Chopra.

How she escaped the vicious circle

The actress known for her boldness and frank approach to an issue, after few incidents of the type understood the actual 'helping nature and good intentions' of these filmmakers and used her talking skills to give them a befitting reply.

"Then I decided, ‘Mujhe dinner hi nahi karna (I don’t want to have dinner).’ Then I would tell the ones who approached me with that code word, ‘Main dinner nahi karti hoon, mera diet chal raha hai. Aap breakfast par bula lo, lunch par bula lo (I don’t eat dinner, I am dieting. You can meet me for breakfast or lunch).’ And they would never ever revert to me,” she said.

The Kamasutra 3D actresses is considered as Bollywood's seductress and was the first woman from India to pose nude for Playboy magazine.

Her features may have attracted filmmakers in a way she didn’t intend for it to be and despite facing these hurdles, she managed to get few films without falling into the trap of a “sex deal”.
