Dileep arrest: Let evidence talk, says Manju Warrier and team

FollowA top member of the Women in Cinema Collective (WCC), Manju Warrier, former wife of Dileep, was the first person to suggest a conspiracy angle behind actress attack. She also said that everyone should help police to bring all those persons in front of the law.
"A woman should get respect inside and outside the house like men," Manju made the statement at a protest meet convened by Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) at Kochi to express support to an actress, on February 20.
The Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) was formed by the top actresses of Mollywood just to give justice to their colleague, who was brutally attacked on her way to Kochi. The actress was kidnapped and allegedly molested by a gang in a moving car near Athani in Angamaly, Kerala. The incident happened at around 10 pm, and the miscreants took photos and videos of her.
Hours after the Kerala police arrested Dileep in connection with the attack case, the WCC said let the evidence talk.
"Let the truth come out... We will provide the shield for the woman till her battle ends.. This is also a fight of the coming generations,” they said in the brief FB post.
Actress Remya Nambeesan also expressed her feeling on Dileep's arrest, she said, "the arrest was indeed a historic moment for those who were eagerly waiting to know the truth. I don't really know how to express my emotion right now. Hats off to Kerala Police."
Speaking to a popular website, Remya also talked about the attacked actress, "It's her win. It was her decision to fight. No matter what, we will stand by her. I am happy that justice has prevailed."
Dileep was under a cloud of suspicion from the beginning of the case, was detained by the police Monday, July 11 evening. He is accused of conspiracy in the abduction of the actress, an incident that sent shock waves in the film industry.
