Did you know The first hero of Sunny Leone was a Malayali

You read it right. The first silver screen hero of glamour sensation Sunny Leone was a Mollywood star-Nishanth Sagar, who was once a famous star in Malayalam.

Romancing Sunny in her first feature film 'Pirate Blood'(2008), Sagar, he six-pack hero of Mollywood, even had a steamy bath in the sea with her in the film!

Sunny had not attained the glamour-queen tag then. Not many in the crew knew her as a porn star. Her first official Bollywood movie, Jism 2, was released much later in August 2013.

She was one of the three heroines in 'Pirate's Blood' who were in search of treasure with their lovers. The horror thriller in English, directed by Mark Ratering, however, did not see the light of the day, thanks to some problems in distribution deals.

Sagar, who made his debut in the Mollywood with Devadasi in 1999, appeared in dozens of films including hit movies Thilakkam and Joker. Besides Sagar and Sunny the film had Mymoona Al Baluchi, Isabella Granada Salem Bahwan and Robert Chapin in the star cast. Main locations of the film were Oman and Kerala, wrote renowned cinematographer Ramachandrababu who shot Pirate's Blood in his memoir being serialised in Mathrubhoomi Weekly.  "Sunny was not famous as we know her now," he recollects.

Along with Babu, Mollywood technicians K Rajagopal(editor), stunt expert Mafia Sasi and makeup artist Pattanam Rasheed were also part of the crew.
