There was much speculation about Telugu actress Anushka Shetty's Bollywood debut, with filmmaker Karan Johar. After the success of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Johar, whose production house Dharma Productions was the distributor of the Hindi dubbed version of the film, wanted to launch Prabhas. But, it didn't work as Prabhas demanded a whopping Rs 20 crore as fees from the filmmaker, which KJo didn't agree.

Now the latest reports suggested that Anushka also opted out of the project, as she did not like the role offered to her. While we aren't sure about the real reason behind Anushka saying no to Karan Johar, we do feel that it was because of Prabhas' exit from the project.

Prabhas and Anushka share a special bond with each other and it is very much possible that she would work in a Hindi film only when Prabhas is her co-star.

A source close to KJo production house said "Karan was keen on casting Anushka in one of his projects, but she didn't find the role adequate for her. She had rejected Tamasha for similar reasons as well. And yes, there are speculations that she may have consulted Prabhas before refusing the film."

Earlier, Anushka had rejected Ajay Devgn's Singham and the Golmaal series.

We all know, Anushka and Prabhas are very close and share a good friendship with each other.

Anushka Shetty is currently busy with G Ashok's modern-day thriller Bhaagamathie .
