The filmmakers have chosen Vijay and his family over Amala Paul due to the influence they hold in the industry. Amala has maintained a stoic silence on her personal affairs and has refused to give any interviews regarding her separation.
According to sources, friends of Amala and Vijay have been claiming that it was the actress who rushed towards separation, without even trying to resolve the problems between the couple.
Their film industry friends also claim that Amala is in a rush to achieve stardom in Tinseltown, and allege that Amala felt that her marriage was a hindrance to her starry dreams.
They also claim that she kept ignoring Vijay whenever he tried to make a compromise.
According to the sources, a Mollywood superstar - whom the couple considers as an elder brother - has sought to sort out the problems between them. But Amala was not ready to listen to him.
Vijay's father AL Alagappan has also said that Amala was not willing to listen to anyone, including her parents.
However, the actress has decided not to address the media or clarify the issue.
