Amala Paul, AL Vijay granted divorce by Chennai family court

According to the reports, the judge Irusan Poonguzhali said that the couple had completed the separation period.

 

The announcement of their separation came about last year in the month of August. The couple tied the knot on June 12, 2014, after dating for almost four years.

 

 

Reports suggested, Vijay’s parent's constant interference caused the couple to go separate ways, while other reports stated Amala Paul insistence to work despite her in-law's disapproval drove the couple to this decision. 

 

There were a few reports that said Amala Paul’s alleged closeness to another star that came up among the many reasons. 

 

However, Vijay had issued an official statement denying the rumours and said only he and Amala know the truth of their relationship.

 

He said “I have been reading a plenty of news on the separation of me and Amala based on random assumptions and false information. I would like to make it clear that the only truth in that is the separation rest all is untrue." 

 

 

On the other hand, Amala’s friend had also told, “She was pained by the treatment meted out to her in her husband’s house and her interests were never cared for. Vijay on the other hand, had treated Amala well, as his wife and as an actor.”

 

In her professional front, Amala Paul will be part of Dhanush’s trilogy – Vada Chennai, directed by Vetrimaaran. She will also feature in the Malayalam remake of Queen. 

 

Amala is also making her debut in Kannada with Hebbuli opposite Sudeep and V Ravichandran. 

 

 

Vijay will be remaking the Tamil version of Malayalam hit Charlie, which will have Madhavan in the lead.

 

Amala Paul acted in Vijay’s 2011 Deviamagal with Vikram and also played the female lead in the director’s 2013 film Thalaiva with Vijay.
