Deepika Padukone in Kochadaiiyaan (2014)

Though the characters were made using photo realistic motion, an animated (and younger) version of Rajinikanth was seen romancing a much younger Deepika Padukone. Rajini was almost 64 then and Deepika was merely 28.

 

Sonkashi Sinha and Anushka Shetty in Lingaa (2014)

The plot revolved around a thief who entered a village to save the dam and temple built by his grandmother. Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Shetty played female leads in the film. It was reported that because Sonakshi is the daughter of Shatrughan Sinha, who is Rajinikanth’s close friend, Rajini felt extremely uncomfortable romancing her. Sonakshi was 27 and Anushka was 30 while Thalaiva was 64 then.
