BJP presidential candidate Ramnath Kovind on Tuesday had a busy schedule in New Delhi. Buzz is that presently he is lodged at the Bihar Bhavan, and is expected to move to separate premises in New Delhi where he will also set up his Election Office.

A staunch Hanuman bakht, Kovind starts his day by spending a few minutes in silence. Kovind, who is a senior lawyer, took time out to go through his presidential papers this morning. The entire day saw a stream of visitors making a beeline to the Bihar Bhawan. The roads in the area are all blocked by photographers and TV camera crew.
Kovind on Tuesday sent in his resignation to the President, and he is now a free bird, commented BJP Chief Amit Shah. His resignation has been accepted, and Keshari Nath Tripathi, Governor of West Bengal has been given the additional charge of Bihar as well.
The BJP presidential candidate will now be touring the country along with a team of BJP leaders, to seek votes for his candidature. Union Minster, Anand Kumar has been designated as Chief Election Coordinator for the Presidential Election for the BJP candidate Ramnath Kovind.

Why did Thambidurai meet Sasikala at Bengaluru jail?
Munisamy Thambidurai, deputy speaker of Lok Sabha, today in a surprise development met Sasikala at Bengaluru Jail and is believed to have discussed the Presidential poll.
The AIADMK leader is believed to have met with Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu after BJP announced Ramnath Kovind's candidature. And it was only after this that Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy.
Thambidurai is expected to play a key role in bringing the three warring factions inside AIADMK to a consensus. It is said that Sasikala's decision on this will chart the next course of action for AIADMK.
In all probabilities, Thambidurai is likely to get a statement from Sasikala today from Bengaluru jail and ensure that the BJP gets AIADMK support.
