The Government of Maharashtra has issued Standard Operating Procedures ahead of Diwali celebrations. The Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi govt has urged citizens to avoid bursting crackers to curb noise and air pollution.
 

Over 7 months since universities and other educational institutions across the country shut down after a countrywide lockdown was announced to contain the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak, the University Grants Commission has now issued guidelines for their reopening.

Bharat Biotech, which recently received approval to conduct Phase III human trials of Covaxin, has said that the vaccine has been found to be safe without any major adverse events in the first two stages of trials and that its goal is to attain strong immune response rate in clinical trials.
