Gold, silver price today, November 5: Yellow metal rate remains stable, silver rate on the rise

FollowGold prices remained unchanged on Friday across the nation even as the silver rate rose by Rs 100 a day after Diwali. While the price of 24-carat gold remained at Rs 47,470 per 10 grams, the silver rate was at Rs 62,500 a kilogram.
In the national capital, the 24-carat yellow metal was selling at Rs 50,900 for 10 grams while 10 grams of 22-carat gold was selling for Rs 46,700. In Mumbai, the going rate for 24-carat gold is Rs 47,410 per 10 grams while 22-carat gold was worth is Rs 46,410. In Kolkata, 24-carat gold was selling at Rs 50,550 for 10 grams while 10 grams of 22-carat gold was selling for Rs 47,850.
Down south in Chennai, the yellow metal was selling at Rs 48,500 for 10 grams (24 carats) while 10 grams of 22-carat gold was selling for Rs 44,470. In Bengaluru, the going rate for 24-carat gold is Rs 48,600 per 10 grams while 22-carat gold was worth is Rs 44,550.
The daily fluctuations in gold and silver prices depend on a range of factors, including changes in prices in the international market. Gold prices went slightly higher on Thursday during the special one hour Diwali Muhurat Trading on the MCX. This after both the United States Federal Reserve and the Bank of England kept their interest unchanged.Â
Meanwhile, silver rates went up across the nation by Rs 100 per kilogram to Rs 62,500. While a kilogram of silver is priced at Rs 62,500 and Rs 67,700 in Bengaluru and Chennai respectively, in Delhi and Mumbai, the selling rate was at Rs 62,500 on Friday.
