Bookings open for Bajaj Chetak electric scooter
The delivery of the Bajaj Chetak, which rivals the likes of TVS iQube and Ather 450X, is likely to start from September 2021.
Bookings have opened for Bajaj Auto's Chetak electric scooter in Maharashtra's Nagpur for a token amount of Rs 2,000.
The bookings for Bajaj Chetak, which is currently available in two variants -- Urbane at Rs 1.43 lakh and Premium at Rs 1.45 lakh, are accepted only through the website www.chetak.com.Â
The delivery of the Bajaj Chetak, which rivals the likes of TVS iQube and Ather 450X, is likely to start from September 2021.
Users can opt out of the online process after uploading documents for registrations and make the remaining transactions involving financing, insurance, accessories and final payment with the dealer directly.
The Chetak electric scooter has a range of 90 km in Eco Mode on a full charge with a new battery.
The Premium variant offers a front disc brake and rear drum brake as opposed to drum brakes on either end on Chetak Urbane.
The Chetak's lithium-ion battery is designed to last for 70,000 kilometres. The company also offers a warranty of 3 years or 50000 km.
Prices start from Rs 1,42,830 (ex-showroom Bengaluru).
According to media reports, Bajaj Auto will soon open bookings for Chetak electric scooters in Mysore and Aurangabad.
