6-year-old Indian-origin girl, Aleesha Gadhia, wins UK PM's award for climate campaign

Aleesha Gadhia, a 6-year-old Indian-origin girl won the British PM Boris Johnson's daily Points of Light award on Thursday (October 7) for her work towards raising awareness on climate change issues and deforestation.

The young climate activist, who is the mini ambassador of non-profit organisation Cool Earth has in the past raised over GBP 3,000 and is committed to work towards engaging communities to create more sustainable practices.

After receiving this honour, Aleesha Gadhia said, "I feel really excited to have won the award and I'm grateful to have PM Boris Johnson to award & write a letter to me."

The young achiever also emphasized that climate change is an important issue that needs immediate attention and hopes raising awareness will tackle the issue. Watch this video to know more.
