Amidst 15 positive COVID-19 cases in Karnataka, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) commissioner has warned against rumour mongers and those who are involved in forwarding fake news regarding coronavirus causing panic and confusion among the public.

This comes in the wake of many spreading rumours about a coronavirus patient being found in a PG in Bengaluru East and asking the public to stay safe from a particular area.

Earlier, there were rumours about BBMP taking up measures like spraying chemicals to contain COVID-19, and asked people to remain indoors for long hours.

Beware, now the BBMP is all set to slap criminal cases against them.
