Empty roads are attracting miscreants and hoodlums to roam free. When police stopped a group of people and objected to them triple riding at Boopasandra in Sanjay Nagar Police Limits, the trio in turn pounced on two police constables and slapped one, and a scuffle ensued.
A member of the public intervened and tried to control the attackers. However, the miscreants overpowered him and managed to slap and kick the policeman.
Manjunath and Basavaraj are two constables who were on the patrol duty at Boopasadra Main Road. It is said the accused persons broke the barricade and were involved in triple riding and popping wheelies on the roads.
Two of the accused have been detained and investigation is on.
