CAA protests erupt in Amritsar against police action on Delhi students

Amritsar: The two policies of the Narendra Modi-led NDA government - the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) have been a reason for ongoing protests across the country. People of Amritsar staged  a protest condemning the police action against Delhi students. The protesters staged a protest against the Centre and the Delhi police. And they burnt effigies. The protesters also raised slogans such as 'Hindustan humara hai, hum yaha mil ke rahenge'. The protesters said they don't accept CAA and NCR and demanded that these policies should be cancelled.
