WWE: Rey Mysterio continues to inspire his fans as an active wrestler, even at 48. Meanwhile, on Friday, he was announced as the maiden inductee into the 2023 Hall of Fame, as fans acclaimed his induction.
Legendary former world champion and the greater luchador, Rey Mysterio, has shown no signs of slowing down, even at the age of 48, as he continues to inspire a lot of young wrestlers even in the twilight phase of his professional wrestling career. Meanwhile, his legacy will be engraved, as on Friday, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) announced him as the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame for the class of 2023.

"Rey Mysterio will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, Class of 2023. The Master of the 619 has had an illustrious career, having notable encounters in not only WWE but also ECW, AAA, CMLL, NJPW, and WCW," announced WWE in a statement.

In WWE, he is a three-time World Champion, a three-time Cruiserweight Champion, a two-time Intercontinental Champion, a seven-time Tag-Team Champion and a two-time US Champion. He also won the Royal Rumble in 2006. While presently, he is involved in an on-screen feud with his son Dominik; it will be interesting to see how this feud transpires with Mysterio's HoF induction.
