Parents oppose the relationship, couple found dead in Sasipara Park in Kerala

Synopsis

Both tied themselves together with the girl's dupatta and jumped down the hill after consuming poison. 

Two lovers allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the hillside because their parents did not approve of their relationship and wanted to separate them. Both tied themselves together with the girl's dupatta and jumped down the hill after consuming poison. The victims Kamal Kumar and Aswathi are from Pappinisseri in Kannur district.

Kamal and Aswathi reportedly went missing on May 29. Family members of both filed separate complaints at the Valapattanm Police Station.

Kamal and Aswati reached the tourist spot Sasipara by 3 PM on a Bajaj Pulser bike. Both allegedly consumed poison before jumping in the rocks. Their body was found when the security was searching for the owner o the bike, which was parked close to the (Sasipara) Park. The bodies have been taken to Pariyaram Medical College for post-mortem.
