Keralite dance teacher arrested in Bengaluru for allegedly raping student

Christopher, who runs an aerobic dance centre in Kalyan Nagar, was arrested by the Banaswadi police The woman filed a complaint, stating Christopher had raped her in the promise of wedlock  

Christopher alias Christiano, 35, who runs an aerobic dance centre in Kalyan Nagar, was arrested by the Banaswadi police on the basis of a complaint from the 23-year-old woman and her father.

According to the police, the woman joined Christopher's institute to learn aerobics back in 2014. The two grew close last year and have been in a relationship for six months.

However, the girl's family opposed the relationship and some of the relatives even had an argument with Christopher regarding the same.

Following the row, Christopher started avoiding the woman and asked her to stop coming to the dance classes, after which the woman filed a complaint, stating Christopher had raped her in the promise of wedlock.
