The CISF personnel deployed at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) has moved to Karnataka high court with their complaint related to the poor working condition.
More than 200 CISF jawans have sought legal aid due to poor food, difficult work conditions, non-payment of allowances, and alleged ‘harassment’ by their seniors. These jawans earlier raised internal complaints as well as wrote to the Prime Minister’s office highlighting their plight before approaching the court, a leading daily reported.
This move again highlights the poor treatment in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) comprising comprises of Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), National Security Guard (NSG), and Assam Rifles (AR).
Earlier this year, BSF jawan Tej Bahadur’s video went viral that showed the alleged poor quality of food, soon after a CRPF jawan’s video surfaced complaining about discrimination and lack of facility in the force.

Apart from this, incidents of suicides using their service guns and shooting at colleagues and superiors by the CAPF jawans have become a common occurrence in recent times which is indicative of their working worrisome conditions.
