The oath-taking of the new ministers in the JD(S)-Congress alliance government has been fixed for tomorrow (June 6). Earlier the time was fixed at 2 PM but now it has been shifted to 2.12 PM.

It is said that MLA HD Revanna, elder brother of Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy consulted an astrologer and the time was fixed for 2.12PM for the new ministers to take oath.

JD(S) has already finalised the list of 12 ministers for various departments including Finance, Energy and other vital departments.

Congress is still finalising the list and is expected to finalise the names before June 6 afternoon.

The decision of approaching astrologers for every decision on government formation has come under attack by many people.

The State Secretary Ratnaprabha has clarified that the oath-taking of the new ministers will not be postponed.

However, currently 12 departments will be taken care of by the JD(S), while Congress will handle 22 departments.

With Finance and Energy Departments taken up by the JD(S) and strong lobby from Congress MLAs for various departments, some MLAs from both the parties have expressed disappointment for not giving them a chance in the ministry.
