Is Eshwarappa' security under threat? Attempted kidnapping of his PRO raises concern

An attempt to kidnap Opposition Leader in the Council, KS Eshwarappa's public relations officer Vinay by miscreants has posed serious questions about the senior BJP leader's security.

Five masked men came in a car and tried to kidnap Vinay from his house in Mahalakshmi Layout on Thursday. Vinay raised an alarm and passersby rushed to his help. In the melee, Vinay has fractured his limb and is now admitted to a private hospital in Yeshvanthpur. The BJP - torn between Yeddyurappa camp and Eshwarappa camp - which is busy chalking out the strategy for the elections, next year, cannot afford to risk Eshwarappa's security.

The Mahalakshmi police have registered a case and are investigating.
