Complaint filed against BJP MLA Jeevaraj on statement about Gauri Lankesh

Synopsis

Complaint lodged against BJP MLA from Sringeri D N Jeevaraj  at Koppa police station. He made a derogatory remark on Gauri Lankesh killing and attracted public irk. CM said by the statement made D N Jeevaraj it can be understood who is behind the killing. Malli Arjun arrested or posting defamatory remarks against Gauri Lankesh in his Facebook.

BJP MLA from Sringeri, D N Jeevaraj has attracted public irk for his remark on Gauri Lankesh killing and a complaint has been lodged against him at Koppa Police Station, reported Kannada Prabha.

D N Jeevaraj was speaking at a rally held in Sringeri on Wednesday by BJP Yuva Morcha. During his 17 minute speech he said “If Gauri Lankesh had not written Cheddigala Marana Homa ( Carnagae of RSS men ) would she not have survived?” The public did not take mildly to the statement and lodged a complaint.

D N Jeevaraj said he faltered in the usage of word in the heat of speech.

Meanwhile in Bengaluru the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said by the statement made DN Jeevaraj it can be understood who is behind the killing.

The Bengaluru police have arrested one Malli Arjun alias Mallanagowda Biradar of Surapur taluk, Yadagiri district for posting defamatory remarks against Gauri Lankesh in his Facebook.
