The Bharatiya Kisan Sangh's 'Rayat Garjana Rally' highlighted farmers' concerns over alleged Waqf land encroachment. Chandrashekar Swamiji's controversial remarks on denying Muslims voting rights sparked outrage, while BJP’s Vijayendra criticized Congress's anti-farmer stance. Swamiji hinted at future BJP leadership changes.

The Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (BKS) organized a 'Rayat Garjana Rally' on Tuesday at Independence Park, voicing concerns over alleged encroachment of farmers' land by the Waqf Board. Farmers and leaders from various religious mutts expressed their frustration and called for the abolition of the Waqf.

A controversial statement by Chandrashekar Swamiji of the Vishwa Vokkaligara Mahasamsthan Mutt during the protest has drawn criticism. Swamiji remarked, "Politicians prioritize votes above all else. If Muslims are denied voting rights, peace can prevail. In Pakistan, non-Muslims do not have voting rights. Similarly, in India, denying voting rights to Muslims would make them dependent and ensure peaceful coexistence."

This statement has sparked outrage, with many condemning it as divisive and inflammatory.

BJP state president B.Y. Vijayendra, who also addressed the gathering, accused the Congress government of ignoring farmers' issues to appease minority communities. He stated, "Is it fair to harm the livelihoods of farmers to cater to minorities? Power is temporary. The Congress government must realise that ignoring farmers will have consequences."

He urged farmers to intensify their protests, warning that the government would remain unresponsive without continued pressure. Vijayendra further criticised Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's government, calling it an "anti-farmer regime."

The rally witnessed participation from prominent leaders, including Sri Ramananda Swamiji of the Vishwa Vokkaligara Mahasamsthan Mutt, Shivarudra Swamiji of Belimath, Mallikarjuna Devar of Sarpabhushan Math, and Rishi Kumara Swamiji of Arasikere Kali Math. Bharatiya Kisan Sangh leaders Bhimsen Kokare and P.L. Somasekhar were also present.

In an interesting turn, Chandrashekar Swamiji hinted at future political plans. Referring to BJP’s internal dynamics, he said, "Let Yediyurappa and Vijayendra say whatever they want. Our team is focused on the farmers' cause. After a major protest in Belagavi, we will head to Delhi on December 3-4 to submit a report against the Waqf. It is guaranteed that someone from our team will be the next Chief Minister."
