BENGALURU: A horrifying incident unfolded in Bengaluru’s Indiranagar area, where a young woman, Maya Gogoi, originally from Assam, was found brutally murdered in a service apartment. The victim, who worked at a private firm, was allegedly stabbed to death by her lover, Aarav Anay, who is now on the run.
The crime took place at The Royal Livings, a service apartment where Aarav, hailing from Kannur, Kerala, had been staying for three days. CCTV footage revealed that Maya and Aarav arrived together at the apartment on November 23. Following the gruesome act, Aarav fled the scene, leaving Maya’s body behind.

Preliminary investigations by the Indiranagar police suggest that Aarav spent an entire day in the apartment after the murder. He was seen smoking a cigarette near the victim’s body, leading police to suspect that he might have been contemplating dismembering the body but later abandoned the plan.
On the morning of November 24, Aarav reportedly booked a cab and left the apartment. His current whereabouts remain unknown, and the police have launched a manhunt to track him down.
