
Within 24 hours of resignation, MLA Jitendra Tiwari on Friday (December 19) returned to the party and said that he is with the TMC.
According to reports, Jitender Tiwari said that he had made a mistake by giving resignation to the TMC. He urged the party leadership to not accept his resignation.

Tiwari had resigned as the chief of the Asansol Municipal Corporation on Thursday (December 17) and quit the party on Friday (December 18).
On Friday, Tiwari held a meeting with senior Trinamool leader Arup Biswas and poll strategist Prashant Kishor. After the meeting, he said, “It was my mistake to submit the resignation. There were some misunderstandings. Whatever I said was absolutely wrong. I will seek forgiveness.”

“I will personally meet Mamata didi and ask her to forgive me. I will continue to work for the Trinamool Congress,” he added.
Jitendra Tiwari's comments came less than 24 hours after he resigned from the post of TMC's president of Paschim Bardhaman district.
