Amit Shah arrives in Kolkata; scheduled to address Midnapore rally today

Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Kolkata on Friday (December 18) night. He will address a public rally in Midnapore today (December 19). According to sources, besides Suvendu Adhikari, 19 more Trinamool Congress MLAs are joining the BJP today. 


Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Kolkata on Friday (December 18) night on a two-day visit to take stock of the BJP's affairs in the districts, ahead of 2021 West Bengal assembly polls.

Amit Shah will address a public rally at Midnapore today (December 19). Preparations for the meeting are in full swing. The work of the Youth Morcha is going from midnight. 1000 youth front activists will be present in the meeting. Samit Kumar Das and Shankudev Panda, district presidents of West Midnapore, will be present in the meeting.

According to sources, besides Suvendu Adhikari, 19 more Trinamool Congress MLAs are joining the BJP today. 

Amit Shah will reach Medinipur at 12 noon on Saturday. Shah's helicopter reached the helipad near the city.

On Saturday, Shah is proposed to visit the Ramkrishna Mission and Siddheshwari Kali temple in Midnapore district. In between, Amit Shah will have lunch at a farmer's residence at Belijuri village in Midnapore.

Amit Shah will address roadshows and attend public rallies in two western districts of Bengal - Midnapore, and Birbhum - during his two-day visit.
