The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday (December 31) raided TMC leader Vinay Mishra’s house in connection with a cattle smuggling case along the India-Bangladesh border.
According to sources, the CBI officials failed to meet Binay Mishra because he was not present in the house during the raid. However, the agency issued a look-out circular against him.
The CBI on November 5 carried out search operations at five locations in Kolkata in connection with the cattle smuggling case in which a BSF commandant has been booked and alleged kingpin Enamul Haque arrested.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) thinks that the money from the illegal trade of cattle smuggling could have reached certain influential people through Binoy Mishra. Besides, Satish Kumar, one of the accused in coal and cattle smuggling, was interrogated and Binoy Mishra’s name came up.

On the other hand, Trinamool Youth Congress president Binoy Mishra got X category protection. However, he has been missing since the start of the CBI probe into the coal-cattle smuggling case.
