BJP MP Saumitra Khan claimed that seven to eight TMC MLAs from Howrah can join the BJP. The list includes Forest Minister Rajib Banerjee and TMC leader Arup Roy.

In this situation, the names of two ministers of the TMC were heard in the mouth of BJP leader Saumitra Khan. Speculation has started in the political arena that two TMC leaders will join the BJP.

Soumitra Khan said, “Arup Roy or Rajiv Bandyopadhyay. Either of these two could join the BJP soon.” Khan's explosive remarks have intensified the speculation.
