Apple Fitness Plus service is launching on December 14

Apple has announced that it is set to launch its new fitness streaming subscription Apple Fitness+ on December 14. 

The new service is built around the Apple Watch, but can be accessed on other devices provided you have either iOS 14.3 or watchOS 7.2, or iPadOS 14.3 or tvOS 14.3.According to the company, for usage with iPad, Fitness+ requires iPad Pro, iPad (5th generation or later), iPad mini 4 or later, iPad Air 2, or iPad Air (3rd generation or later). Fitness+ is supported on Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD.And, of course, nothing comes for free. Fitness+ will be available for subscription in the U.S at $9.99 (Rs 736.37) per month or $79.99 (Rs 5,896) per year.

For now, the service will be available in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, and the US.The new service will launch with 10 workout types: High Intensity Interval Training, Strength, Yoga, Dance, Core, Cycling, Treadmill (for running and walking), Rowing, and Mindful Cooldown. The subscription can be shared among up to six family members for the same priceAccording to the company, "many Fitness Plus workouts require no equipment at all or just a set of dumbbells," while the more equipment-based cycling, treadmill, and rowing workouts should be doable with almost any bike, treadmill, or rowing machine that users have.

Apple says that the Fitness+ service gives users the option to pick from nine different styles, including Latest Hits, Chill Vibes, Upbeat Anthems, Pure Dance, Throwback Hits, Everything Rock, Latin Grooves, Hip HopR&B, and Top Country, and see the full workout playlist before they start.They can also filter by music to find the right workout to fit their current mood.For ultimate flexibility, most workouts range in increments of 10, 20, 30, and 45 minutes.
