Temperature Will Rise Further Across Bengal
Weather experts say dry winds from the west and north-west are causing this heatwave. Over the next four days, the maximum temperature could slowly climb by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius. It's expected to be 3 to 5 degrees higher than normal for this time of year.

Which districts are on alert?
According to the Alipur Weather Department, from April 2 to 4, South 24 Parganas, Howrah, West Medinipur, Bankura, West Bardhaman, and Purulia will experience hot and humid conditions. Birbhum and Kolkata are also added to the list for April 3 and 4. The weekend is expected to be very hot.
The Alipur Weather Department reports that coastal districts could see maximum relative humidity hit 80 to 90 percent. For inland districts, it will be around 70 to 80 percent. This high humidity, combined with the heat, will make everyone feel extra uncomfortable and sticky.
