Mahindra XUV700 gets 65,000 bookings in 2 weeks? When will delivery begin? Read details

The firm said that it has collaborated with one of the top three worldwide consulting firms to develop and implement an algorithm-based delivery method.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) said that deliveries of its recently released model XUV700 would commence at the end of this month. Deliveries of petrol variations will begin on October 30, while diesel trims will start in the final week of November. In the first two weeks of the process, the firm stated it had received 65,000 reservations for the XUV 700. On October 7, the firm began bookings for the model. The firm said that it has collaborated with one of the top three worldwide consulting firms to develop and implement an algorithm-based delivery method.

The company, in a statement, said that the objective is to streamline the delivery process for customers based on a combination of parameters which include, quantum of bookings at the city and dealer level. It also includes ratio of online and bookings at dealer counters and variant-level production feasibility based on supply chain constraints.

The delivery schedules for both petrol and diesel versions will be notified to consumers by their dealerships beginning October 27, 2021. According to the carmaker, this timetable may alter based on the current global supply chain environment.

Bookings are presently open for all consumers through both platforms, i.e., online and at the nearest dealerships, with pricing at the time of delivery prevailing, according to the company. 

The XUV700 is available in two series: MX and AdrenoX. (AX). The XUV700 is available with diesel and gasoline engines, manual and automatic transmissions, and seating for five or seven people. It also comes with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) trim option.

The mid-size SUV has also broken the national 24-hour endurance record. The previous record of 3,161 kilometres was established in 2016. The XUV700 set a new national record at Mahindra's SUV Proving Track in Chennai. It is the first SUV to do so. The XUV700s took part in the challenge in four different ways. Surprisingly, all of the samples had 4,000 miles on the clock. The diesel manual trim leads the pack with 4,384.7 km, followed by the diesel automatic with 4256.12 km. The manual did 4,232.01 km in 24 hours in fuel versions, while the automatic did 4155.65 km.
