The MG Astor was introduced in India on October 11th, with a starting price of Rs 9.78 Lakh (ex-showroom).

MG Motor India has sold out its mid-segment SUV Astor for 2021. According to the business, MG sold 5,000 Astor vehicles within minutes of accepting bookings for purchasers. For the Indian market in 2021, MG has only allocated 5,000 units of the mid-size SUV.

Bookings for the next batch of SUVs will commence on November 1st, 2021, at Rs 25,000, with delivery beginning in 2022. The MG Astor was introduced in India on October 11th, with a starting price of Rs 9.78 Lakh (ex-showroom).

In a statement, Rajeev Chaba, President and MD of MG Motor India, said that the MG Astor is a luxury mid-segment SUV with stylish exteriors, sumptuous interiors, and cutting-edge technology. He further said the company is overjoyed with the response we have received from our consumers. However, due to the industry's global chip problem, he added that the company could only deliver a limited quantity of automobiles this year. 

Meanwhile, the firm anticipates that supplies will improve beginning in the first quarter of next year. According to the firm, Astor reservations for 2022 may also be made through the carmaker's website or in an MG showroom.

MG Motor India has unveiled the new Astor small SUV in India, with prices beginning at Rs 9.78 lakh for the VTi-Tech manual trim and up to 16.78 million for the top-of-the-line Sharp trim. The 2021 MG Astor is the Chinese automaker's sixth model to hit the Indian market, and it is simply a petrol-powered version of the MG ZS EV.

It is also the brand's most cost-effective product to date. The new MG Astor is also the company's first vehicle to have an AI-based personal assistant and Level 2 autonomous technology with ADAS functions. The new MG Astor utilises a novel Car-as-a-Platform (CAAP) concept. MG intends to provide a variety of technology-driven services to its customers by using the Astor as a platform.
