Tata Punch 2021 receives 5-star safety rating in Global NCAP crash test

In Global NCAP's most recent #SaferCarsForIndia crash test, the new Tata Punch received a complete 5-star rating for adult occupant safety and a 4-star rating for kid occupant protection.

Tata Motors will introduce the all-new Tata Punch subcompact SUV in India on October 18. This subcompact SUV has now been crash-tested by Global NCAP ahead of its formal introduction, and it has been named India's safest automobile. In Global NCAP's (New Car Assessment Program) most recent #SaferCarsForIndia crash test, the new Tata Punch received a complete 5-star rating for adult occupant safety and a 4-star rating for kid occupant protection.

After the Nexon and the Altroz, the new Tata Punch is the third Tata vehicle in India to receive a complete 5-Star safety certification for adult occupant protection from Global NCAP. The Punch's bodyshell was assessed as stable and capable of withstanding additional loadings. Furthermore, its footwell area was graded as stable. For adult occupant safety, the Tata Punch received an outstanding 16.45 out of a possible 17 points. It received a 4-star rating in this area after receiving 40.89 points out of a total of 49 points for kid occupant protection.

According to Global NCAP, the Tata Punch was tested with the most basic safety features, including dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX child seat mounts. According to Global NCAP, the Punch may be enhanced further by including standard Electronic Stability Control (ESC), standard side head crash protection systems, and three-point belts in all sitting positions. The Punch also provides drivers and passengers with regular Seat Belt Reminders (SBR). To receive the complete 5-Star safety certification, the Punch has to pass the UN95 side impact test in addition to the front offset deformable barrier (ODB) test.

Returning to the Punch, reservations for Tata Motors' new model have commenced at the cost of Rs 20,000. The competitor of the Maruti Suzuki Swift will be available in seven colours and four versions.
