To check on pollution, the court has banned the sale and manufacturing of BS 3 vehicles from April 1. Considering the high rates of cars, if you are thinking of purchasing a second-hand car, which might fall under BS 3 category, you might be in trouble.

The court has not given its complete ruling regarding the ban of BS 3 vehicles. Thus, currently, no BS 3 vehicles can be registered. But there is no clear ruling on transferring the ownership or re-registration, in the case of second-hand purchase. The ruling says that re-registration of vehicles which do not come under BS4 is ruled out.
