The police are investigating the role of actress and Dileep’s wife Kavya Madhavan and director Nadirshah in the Kochi actress attack case.

The prosecution said that Kavya and Nadirshah cannot be given the clean chit just yet. It revealed this information in a report filed before the Kerala High Court in connection with anticipatory bail petitions filed by Kavya and Nadirshah.

However, the prosecution also stated that both Kavya and Nadirshah will not be named as accused at this stage of the investigation. The investigation is still progressing and several persons are yet to be interrogated, the report said.

Why did Dileep call Ramya Nambeesan after the attack?

Meanwhile, the High Court has deferred its judgment on the anticipatory bail pleas of Kavya and Nadirshah. The court will now pronounce the verdict on September 25.

Kavya filed an anticipatory bail plea in the Kerala High Court on Saturday, alleging that the case is biased, partisan and ill-motivated. Kavya also said that the investigating team is “torturing, humiliating and harassing” her and her family based on prime accused Pulsar Suni’s disclosures.

Angamaly court once again denies bail for Dileep

Nadirshah, on the other hand, said in his petition that he is innocent but the police are "threatening" to arrest him and making baseless accusations against him.

Meanwhile, the Angamaly court rejected Dileep's bail application for the second time on Monday. Earlier, the Kerala High Court had also rejected the actor's bail plea twice.
