Police imposing cases against me to frame Hadiya's husband: Kerala man's Facebook Live goes viral

In an interesting turn of events in the Hadiya case, Shefin Mohammed, an expat hailing from Kollam, has claimed that the police have been trying to impose a case filed against him on Hadiya's husband Shafin Jahan.
In a Facebook post made on Thursday, Shefin Mohammed revealed that he is the real accused in two criminal cases, which the Kollam police is now projecting as charges against Shafin Jahan to frame him in 'love jihad'. Both Shefin Mohammed and Shafin Jahan are Kollam natives who work in the Gulf kingdom.

Shefin Mohammed also stated that the police have been putting pressure on his his family back home to say that the charges against him were filed mistakenly as their names are similar and that Shafin Jahan is the real culprit. The man also claimed that both RSS and CPI activists have approached his family and asked them to do as the police say.
"I have received a good offer from the Kerala police. I am Shefin Mohammed. To make things a little more clear, I am the real accused in the cases 889/11 and 1051/13, which have been imposed on Hadiya's husband Shafin Jahan", read his Facebook post.
Shefin Mohammed also went Live on Facebook from Dammam in Saudi Arabia hours later and explained the same. The video has gone viral, garnering more than 45K views and around 2K shares. Watch the video here:
Shafin Jahan himself put up a Facebook post on Friday, saying the police are trying to frame him with the cases against Shefin Mohammed, though all other details excepts the names being completely different.
The Kerala High Court had annulled Hadiya's marriage to Shafin Jahan in May, describing it as a case of 'love jihad', after acting on a complaint filed by her father. Later in August, the Supreme Court ordered for an NIA probe into the case, after Shafin Jahan filed a petition, challenging the HC verdict.
